Sex on My Mind

s[k]oppe & Revive are celebrating artists with the common denominator of exploring sexuality and sexual desire within themselves and others, and in objects and forms, and revealing that in their art. This exhibition groups together paintings, collages, drawings, projections and photography, but also involves a more interactive use of the space, featuring happenings such as erotic poetry/words, transformation, face painting, performance, installation and more. The purpose of the event is to promote artists while supporting community organisations, with an aim of eradicating alienation and the almost systematic habit of casting out what some consider different and applying social boundaries to everything that's hard for some to understand. Visitors can talk, watch, learn or participate in performances, becoming part of the show. Some of the art will be sold by auction, and buyers will get an opportunity to support the community organisations of their choice (the money raised by auction will be given to charities supporting the creation of this and similar events and supporting the community in embracing diversity).
