Loop 2014: Empowering audiences

What do contemporary artistic practices based on the moving image do to empower their audiences intellectually? Can the experience with certain art works change the way in which audiences see the world? Which strategies are used to achieve this? The pieces displayed in 'Empowering Audiences' invite us to reflect on the way art produces discourses and generates knowledge, using its narrative power to allow the individual to rethink ways of examining diverse kinds of contexts from a critical point of view.
