Time Out says

This is the sixth edition of Barcelona Gallery Weekend, when you have a date with galleries and contemporary art in the city from September 17 to 20 as some  30 galleries present the work of 60 artists. The event, promoted by the association Art Barcelona, which this year turns 30 years old, comes at a crucial time for the local art community, and sets out to reinforce the idea of galleries as vital spaces that provide free access for the development of art and culture.

As a health and safety measure, the programming will focus mainly on exhibitions and activities organised by the different galleries. In addition to the neighbourhood routes (Arco Gallery Walks and the new family route), there will be artist presentations and the beginnings of artistic projects.

Highlights include guided tours of 'Ella, l'ull, el dit, la mà' ('Her, the eye, the finger, the hand'), with curator Alexandra Laudo and artists María María Acha-Kutscher and Núria Güell (ADN gallery, Fri, 6pm); Anna Dot's performance as part of the exhibition 'Escrits per a la pell vident' ('Writings for the seeing skin') (Bombon, Fri, 7pm); and a performance act by Dora García (ProjecteSD, Sat, from noon), among other happenings.
