The ancient Egyptians understood the characteristics of animals characteristics and used these in different ways for their symbolic images, to the point that animal figures became part of their coded language and pillars of Egyptian religious thought. This exhibition brings together 430 pieces that seek to explain the intense relationships between humans and animals, and between nature and ancient Egyptian culture, with sphinxes and statues, vessels and jars, watercolours and wall murals, chests and amulets, and sarcophagi and mummies.
