Time Out says

This exhibition at the Picasso Museum celebrates the last time Pablo Picasso spent any length of time in Barcelona. After 1904, when he moved to Paris, he wasn't in Barcelona for long, and afterwards he only came back for a brief period in the summers of 1933 and 1934. The artist, who had designed the stage decoration and constumes for the ballet 'Parade', accompanied Sergei Diaghilev's Ballets Russes and set up in Barcelona from June to November 1917, after having stayed for a bit in Madrid. This period in Barcelona has turned out to be very interesting from an artistic point of view, as it was a time of seeking new sources and fine art resources, in which Picasso alternated the most rigorous canons of cubism with a more classic and realistic line.
