Time Out’s guide to the One Bangkok experience

The best things to eat, drink and do at the city’s latest lifestyle landmark.

Last year Bangkok welcomed many exciting openings and renovations, but few garnered as much attention as One Bangkok, the Big Mango’s newest and much-talked-about lifestyle destination. Located at the corner of Wireless and Rama IV Roads, this sprawling 41-acre complex offers a plethora of dining, shopping and entertainment experiences, all within walking distance of MRT Lumphini station.

Built on the former site of Suan Lum Night Bazaar, One Bangkok features five mixed-use buildings, three residential towers and five hotels, including the city’s first Ritz-Carlton hotel. The overall complex is divided into two main areas – The Storeys, home to unique flagship stores, and The Parade, a retail hub with fashion, dining and entertainment for all ages.

Rumour has it that this mall’s layout draws inspiration from feng shui principles so you could trust your intuition and wander between indoor and outdoor areas until you find whatever you’re seeking. However, to make things a little easier, we’ve put together a rough guide to help you navigate this modern metropolitan colossus.

Epicurean treats

Given its huge footprint, you’ll do a lot of walking at One Bangkok–certainly enough to put an edge on your appetite. Not to worry though, because with more than 200 food outlets this is a location where it is possible to literally graze the day away. Recommended outlets include Bianca, where aficionados of Italian cuisine will love the signature funghi i speck (B560). Edo-style fried prawns (starting from B490) also delight at the city’s debut branch of Hannosuke, while those with a sweet tooth are spoilt for choice at Kamakura–try their exquisite warabi green tea mochi (B390) if nothing else. Thai cuisine gets a good look-in and the classic tom yum noodles (B149) at Zaaniran, which come in three levels of spiciness, certainly add zing to the day. Ohkajhu on The Parade’s third floor is poised to serve up a pork chop steak (B465) with a gigantic plate of salad, gathered from their Chiang Mai farm.

Food courts for a quick fix

Flagship restaurants can be great for a special day out but busy office workers may prefer a spot to quickly munch and return to the grind. The first branch of Japan’s Mitsukoshi Depachika, a popular brand of foodcourt, to arrive in Thailand brings a wealth of authentic rising-sun eateries to One Bangkok. Visit Ohana Poke for a perfect blend of salmon sashimi and superfood edamame (B259). The mall wouldn’t be very Thai without street food. Luckily, Food Street on the fifth floor of The Parade offers a wide range of local favourites. From Eak’s chicken and rice (B70) to Elvis Suki’s  (B95), head here for an affordable meal with a fresh new city view.

Coffee everywhere

You can’t turn a corner at this gigantic mall without finding a coffee shop or café. As well as the usual suspects such as Starbucks, Pacamara and Cafe Amazon, there are several newcomers waiting for you to sip their signatures. Try a hot latte (B130) from F.I.X. Coffee or Rise Coffee’s creamy dirty cereal killer (B135): the result of a beverage experiment at their lab, or so they say.

Great shopping

For souvenirs and gifts that reflect the richness of Thai culture, make tracks for Sarapad Thai at the third floor of Parade. Here, you'll find everything from classic inhalers (starting from B35) and fried durian to Moo Deng art toys (B450). Tea connoisseurs will find what they love at Salacha. Don’t forget to grab some freeze-dried durian as a tropical snack. Before you leave this store, wish yourself luck inside the photogenic Chokdee Alley, do a mini-heart hand sign and take your selfie with a heart-hand deity. A more luxurious shopping experience can be had at King Power City Boutique at Parade’s first and second floors, where duty-free goods and a curated selection of high-end products are available. Explore limited-edition watches, eyewear, perfumes and more. Some items are available at lower prices even if you don't have a plane ticket.

If you're looking to make every second count, stop by the Swatch Concept Store at The Storey’s first and second floors and peruse their staggering range of timepieces, including special collections. It even has a personalisation station where you can customise your own Swatch watch.

As you’d expect, fashion outlets abound at One Bangkok but if you want to refresh your wardrobe, head to Club 21 on the first floor of The Storeys. This is a multi-label store where you can shop for stylish pieces from top global brands such as Alexander Wang, Balmain and Comme Des Garçons Play.

Art appreciation

Enhance your artistic sensibilities with the One Bangkok Public Art Collection at One Bangkok Park. It constitutes a vibrant display of works by international and local talents. As you wander through this open space between buildings you’ll encounter installations such as S-Curve – a sculpture by British-Indian artist Anish Kapoor that plays with shape and perception – and It Is, It Isn’t by British sculptor Sir Tony Cragg. This 7.8-meter stainless steel piece is inspired by the human form, yet transformed into an abstract shape that challenges the way we see things.

The collection also shines a light on local art. Among the works by Thai creatives is Fly by the celebrated street artist Alex Face. Originally showcased at his 20th-anniversary exhibition, the piece draws inspiration from humanity’s ability to conquer challenges such as flight, thereby symbolising the pursuit of technological innovation.

Fun for all

There’s nothing quite like kicking back and watching a movie in a comfy theatre and One Ultra Screens at the fifth floor of The Storeys gives you the opportunity to do just that. This cineplex offers a private, modern movie experience that’s all about making every silver screen moment unforgettable.

Mega Harborland Onederland at The Parade’s sixth floor is the place for youngsters (and adults) to have a blast. It comprises a huge 6,000 square meter playground featuring diverse activity areas such as Little Ville, Harbor Town, Kids Island and Junior Jungle.

Upcoming projects

One Bangkok will still have some surprises in its back pocket going into 2026. Post 1928 is destined to be the new spot to find upcoming luxury brands such as Chanel and Dior. Andaz and Ritz-Carlton also have a future competitor with an undisclosed super-luxe hotel opening its doors within the next two years. Live music lovers can look forward to large-scale downtown concerts at the Forum, with 10,000 sqm of space on each floor.
