New year, new home! The trendy-yet-cosy Saladang Soi 1 has become a new home for Time Out Bangkok. While you can say hello to us at Woof Pack Building, there’re many spots to check out in this lively area near enormous Lumpini Park. Charming all-day restaurants, energetic street foods, homie cafes and vibrant bars shine near our office. It’s worth looking for many of them near our Time Out Office.

Chilling eateries at any time.

Don’t worry about finding places to eat on this trendy alley. Australian comfort food from Shelley will please your appetite and their aesthetic homie visual enhances the experience there. For a more spicy flavour inside a white house, Spotted Pig, a Mexican restaurant on the corner, serves beef steak taco (B199) and refreshing beverage to match with their savoury dishes. Walking towards The Common, homecooked offerings from Bitterman, local favourites from Pasta Ama and Mediterranean classics from Cento are here for Italian cuisine aficionados from day to night. Steak and burger heads alerted, The Meatchop Butcher & Spirits, in the same building of our office, brings smoked and juicy steaks to your table. Busy days make you need something to grab and go, try an Italian crafted sandwich (starting from B150) from Antico Fornaio.

Thai street food at its finest

Saladang isn’t just about brunch and cosy eateries, local office workers would love to find many things to have during their lunchtime. With more than 20 food stalls in the middle of this road, affordable dishes could make your day with authentic flavours and low prices. Tom yum noodle (B50) from Tiew Yum Seed represents a perfect strong flavour for this hot bowl. If you are starving for something big, rice and curry stalls can match your need with those fried basil with pork or chicken curry (starting from B40).

Cafe along the way

Sipping hot coffee in those brunch eateries is awesome but there are more cafes to check out and boost your energy. Homu, the latest matcha green tea stall on this road, just opened in December 2024 and four selections of matcha will hit you with aromatic notes (starting from B90). Affordable cups stand out along this lively street, Area One serves creamy salted caramel macchiato (B75) while The Caffeine (starting B45) is another option for your morning coffee time.

Work-life balance at its finest

Known for their documentary screening at Woof Pack, Doc Club and Pub transforms itself into a co-working space where you can listen to live music and try refreshing beverages. Their happy beer time in the evening could be a bonus for your hardworking day. If a club is not enough, The Common Saladang has more space, international food and drinks.

The fun of Saladang Soi 1 doesn’t end at sunset. Pickle, a queer bar on the corner of Woof Pack, welcomes everyone with their easy listening tunes and nostalgic songs. Their signature tamarin high ball (B380) will spark your joy with its sweetness and local Mekhong spirit. For Japanese liquor enthusiasts, The Barrel Sake Bar could be another spot to pick a wide range of bottles.

One day isn’t enough, stay overnight

A stay with a view of Lumpini Park could be ideal, So/Bangkok is a place to lay back and relax after a long journey on this road. Blending wood, fire and earth, their cosy design implements this experience (starting at B7,200). Hanging out with your friends, a stunning view on the rooftop Park Society could be a spot worth trying. For a budget-friendly place, At Ease Saladang offers spacious rooms with facilities (starting at B2,200) while you take a short walk to find something at The Common.
