New year, new home! Time Out Bangkok has moved to new digs in the vibrant, leafy neighborhood of Saladaeng Soi 1. You’ll now find us on the mezzanine floor of the Woof Pack Building, also home to Doc Club & Pub, Pickle.BKK and Guss Damn Good ice cream. We’re finding this lively area near Lumpini Park is packed with gems waiting to be discovered! Think charming all-day eateries, buzzing street food stalls, cozy cafes, and hip community spaces, all just steps away. Here’s what to look out for if you happen to swing by.

Chilled eateries

The food market at The Commons Saladaeng is Bangkok’s original community hub – and it’s got everything you’re craving! Order, grab a buzzer, then sink your teeth into Fowlmouth & Crackhouse’s juicy burgers, fresh Hawaiian poke bowls from Hunter Poke, or cheesy New York-style slices from Soho Pizza. Looking for something quick but oh-so-satisfying? Head upstairs to Antico Fornaio on the first floor and pick up an Italian-crafted sandwich starting at just B120.

Craving authentic Thai flavors? Make your way to Northeast at the start of the soi and wait to be seated for a cornucopia of Siamese classics, from fiery tom yum goong (B220) to fluffy catfish salad (B150). This foodie adventure is worth queuing up for!

Just steps away, at the entrance to Sathorn Soi 2, you’ll find the Spotted Pig – a must-visit for Tex-Mex lovers! Savour the Baja fish tacos (just B179) while you browse through the playful margarita menu. Ready for something different? Wander down the soi to Shelly House, where Mediterranean-inspired comfort food meets relaxed Australian beach café vibes. Or, take a culinary adventure next door at Pasta Ama, where east meets west in bold, budget-friendly dishes.

Back on Sathorn soi 1, a short stroll uncovers comforting classics from Bitterman or bold Italian delights at Cento. Steak lovers, rejoice! The Meatchop Butcher & Spirits (right below our office) serves up a mouthwatering Flank Steak with Béarnaise Sauce (B600).

Thai street eats

Beyond the cosy cafes, Saladaeng’s local office workers have plenty of street food options during lunch breaks. Just across from the U Chu Liang Building, over 20 food stalls line the road, serving up Thai flavors at unbeatable prices. Tom yum noodles (B50) from Tiew Yum Seed are a sure-fire winner. Feeling hungrier? Treat yourself to a plate of stir-fried basil with pork over rice or a chicken curry—both delicious options at just B40.
