Bangkok may not have a winter wonderland, but we’ve got something even better – our own kind of summer fun. Sure, the heat can be scorching, but that’s all part of the build-up to Songkran – the water-splashing festival that grabs attention worldwide (and even made its way into The White Lotus season three).

As the hottest season of the year hits, it’s the perfect excuse to grab your water guns, hit the streets and make a splash. And let’s be honest, the Songkran party wouldn’t feel complete without a drink or two. But with all the excitement, it’s easy to get carried away – the heat and alcohol combo can leave you feeling wiped out and no one wants dehydration spoiling the fun.

This Songkran, Pernod Ricard – the brand behind some of your favourite wines and spirits – is bringing ‘Drink More Water’ back to Bangkok. As the capital turns into one giant splash fest, dedicated carts will hand out popsicles and water to keep you hydrated and keep the fun flowing. After debuting in 2024 with the ‘Drink More Water’ tuk tuks, travelling between five locations and handing out 2,000 bottles of water, the campaign is stepping it up this year by encouraging everyone to 'eat' their water with frozen goodness. After all, the best way to keep the party going is to slip in a little H2O between drinks.

And these trucks aren’t just handing out treats – they’re spreading the word too. Aimed at Gen Z and anyone looking to have a good time, the campaign reminds you that sipping water between drinks helps you avoid going overboard and allows you to keep your body in check.

With the year's biggest splash fest coming up, here's your quick guide to the ‘Drink More Water’ pop-ups – your trusty sidekick for staying hydrated during the celebrations.

When will the ‘Drink More Water’ food carts be available?

The food carts will be stationed on the streets throughout the Songkran holiday, from April 13-15, serving popsicles and water throughout the day.

Where can we find these carts?

You can find them at three locations around the city: Silom (in front of Silom Complex), Siam (in the open area connecting to the Skytrain at Siam Square One), and Donki Mall Thong Lor.

Popsicles are always a crowd favourite, especially during the hottest time of the year, and these aren’t your ordinary popsicles. In fact, Pernod Ricard has partnered up with a local dessert group to bring you delicious frozen treats.

If you're celebrating Songkran in the capital, look out for the 'Drink More Water' pop-ups around Bangkok to stay hydrated while enjoying the festivities. To learn more about Pernod Ricard’s 'Drink More Water' campaign, check out their website.
