Hosted by the embassies of Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden, the Nordic Film Festival returns for the second time with eight selected films that give a glimpse of the film industry in the Nordic region. The selections are all national entries for Best Foreign Language Film at the Academy Awards. Highlights include SuperClásico (2011), a Danish film set in Argentina about a man trying to win back his wife; and Kon-Tiki (2012), a Norwegian historical drama that was co-produced by five Nordic countries and the United Kingdom. Kon-Tiki is also the first Norwegian film to have been nominated Best Foreign Language Film in both the Golden Globes and the Academy Awards.
Free admission by the first-come-first-serve-principle. Reservations can be made at Quartier CineArt half an hour before each screening.
