The Catbus, Totoro, and many adorable Ghibli characters are finally here in Bangkok! Thailand’s inaugural exhibition dedicated to the beloved animations by Studio Ghibli, My style, My ghibli, has now opened at centralwOrld.

This huge showcase is the first collaboration between the acclaimed studio and Japanese casual wear giant Uniqlo in support of the new UT collection that has been recently launched. Fans of Ghibli will get to see a wide range of artworks from photography to installations inspired by the characters from many popular films.

The first room of My style, My ghibli is the display of photographs shot at Ghibli Museum in Tokyo. What’s special about this showcase is how the museum normally doesn’t allow visitors to take pictures in the premises, but there’s only 200 photographers granted with the permission—and one of whom is Kanyada Prathan, the Thai photographer who captures the essence of Ghibli creations through the style of Childish View. Her work impressed the studio’s co-founder and producer Toshio Suzuki so greatly that he gave the green light to Kanyada to show her collection.

Beside, visitors will get to see Kanyada’s other collection of photographs shot in her hometown in Pak Thong Chai District, Nakhon Ratchasima where the producer himself has visited for multiple times.

The next highlight is the showcase of renowned moments from seven Ghibli animations printed on huge fabrics. Each piece is accompanied by the quotes written by Toshio Suzuki.

Last but not least, the life-sized Catbus is the main attraction of My style, My ghibli placed with the big Totoro model side by side for visitors to have a cool snap with.

The My style, My ghibli Exhibition is open now at centralwOrld (1/F) until March 27 (10:00-22:00).
