Around the end of October, most Thai people gather around a river and pay respect to Goddess of Water by floating a krathong—a beautiful lotus-shaped raft, decorated with candles, incense and flowers—onto the water.
This year, the Loy Krathong festival takes place on October 31. Innovative tour company Expique invites you to join them on a special occasion with a workshop of krathong making at The Flower Market, which will teach you how to craft your own version of the raft, and the team will walk you to Yodpiman River to float it.
During the session, there will be a buffet of Thai snacks and desserts alongside free-flow herbal drinks to fill and freshen you up.
The workshop starts at 16:00 until 19:30. Adult tickets are B350, while child ones are B250.
