It was 2019 where art lovers in Bangkok got to witness a renowned talent of Thai artist Gongkan at the Yestertodaymorrow exhibition, but the wait is over now with his latest solo exhibition, Introspection.
Part of the Souleport project, Introspection aims to explore the mysterious world of human mind and emotion through various artistic techniques ranging from writing, sculptures, to digital interactive.
Gongkan's major inspiration for Introspection is his fascination over the modern society's struggle to find an identity for each individual who all seeks perfection without being aware of the consequences for their physical and mental health. The result is a collection of artworks that reveal discomfort, confusion, disorientation, and uncertainty prevalent in today's society. Some of the pieces in the exhibition also tackle what's going on during the pandemic that greatly affects every aspect of life.
Introspection is now open for guests to come and find their own balance of life at Tang Contemporary Art on the second floor of River City Bangkok between November 6 and December 12.
