Wonderfruit may have been postponed this year due to the pandemic, but its organizers are still keeping busy. On 7 and 8 November, the Wonderfruit gang is bringing back food festival Fruitfull after its online success in April and May. And this second edition has been revamped and now includes cool new offerings.
For one, the crew is set to take over Jim Thompson House. They’ve been granted full access to the museum, which means more space to use and explore during the event. On each day, Fruitfull will host exclusive lunches and dinners for 20 guests, with fare provided by Michelin-starred restaurants the likes of Le Du, Jay Fai, Bo.lan, and Samrub. But there will also be more laid-back eating sessions catered by up-and-coming Isaan venue Mak Khang and a khanom jeen bar by two Michelin-starred Sorn.
A Chinese banquet with dishes by Sorn, Sühring, 80/20, Gaa, Soul Food Mahanakhon, and Samuay & Sons will be held on 6 November, the evening before Fruitfull kicks off. The event, unfortunately, sold out fast, but there’s still enough to enjoy in the following days. You can join workshops on a wide range of culinary interests, or take a walk around the museum and enjoy an array of "street food” prepared by 100 Mahaseth’s Chalee Kader, Appia’s Paolo Vitaletti, Soul Food Mahanakorn’s Jarrett Wrisley, and Bo.lan’s Dylan Jones. Plus, for the entire weekend, guests can groove to live music by ZudRangMa Records’ Maft Sai, FunkyPump, Juice Willis, Supersonic, Kanehbos and Tassmah, The Paradise Bangkok Molam International Band, Toomturn Molam Group, Yaan and many more.
