Mahidol University presents the musical Company, set against the backdrop of New York City and exploring the complexities of married life. Written by Stephen Sondheim, a key figure in modern musical theatre, the show has garnered six Tony Awards, including Best Score, Best Book and Best Musical. The musical blends humour with emotional depth, revealing the unpredictable nature of love. As Robert, a middle-aged bachelor grappling with love and commitment, observes the lives of those around him, Company delves into the messiness and confusion that come with partnerships, offering a refreshingly honest portrayal of romance and marriage in a bustling metropolis.
