Bangkok is the stuff of legend for LGBTQ+ parties and events, and thousands worldwide flock to the city annually to enjoy them. From parades and circuit parties to cultural celebrations, these gatherings showcase the city's enthusiasm for bolstering an amazing environment for friends within the community. But worry not if you haven't attended before - there’s time and opportunity yet. Here’s our heads-up on the best LGBTQ+ events in town this year to get you started.

XXO Party Songkran

The iconic XXO Party Songkran takes the fun of the annual festival to the next level, especially if you love to dance as much as gay icon and Aussie singer, Troy Sivian. One of Thailand’s best LGBTQ+ events, it's famed for its world-class DJs, spicy dance parties, and an inclusive atmosphere that brings partygoers from around the globe together for an unforgettable experience. Happening on 25 April, expect fun-filled beats, a beautiful crowd, and a kaleidoscope of colour as revellers dance.

gCircuit Songkran

Much talked about, gCircuit Songkran is organised by Asia's largest gay circuit party outfit, which is owned and run by a couple who are renowned for hosting multi-day extravaganzas driven by thumping performances from world-class As part of the spectacle, you'll witness six-packed male performers, such as homegrown dancing legend Snooker, all decked out and busting some moves. Held from April 11-14, this glitzy gathering attracts thousands of party animals from around the world.

Mister Bear International

Mister Bear International is a pageant that showcases masculinity, body positivity, and hunky hot men from all parts of the globe. It welcomes anyone and everyone, whatever their walk of life, and embraces them in an all-inclusive vibe. Everyone feels like part of the show, whether they’re in the crowd or competing on stage. Mark your calendar for April 13 and catch a bunch of sizzling hotties strutting their fancy stuff. 

Bangkok Pride

Bangkok Pride is something to really look forward to–a red letter day on the calendar during Pride Month. As with similar parades in rainbow-friendly countries, it's a celebration of LGBTQ+ diversity, equality and inclusion, and it takes place in the heart of the kingdom’s capital. It shines as a beacon of acceptance, highlighting the city’s bold and proud stance on LGBTQ+ rights    and its commitment to creating a more inclusive society. So, it’s much more than a fabulous parade, it's a powerful civic statement, and it takes place on June 1.

RGB Pride Party

If you missed out on the XXO Party Songkran, RGB Pride Party makes up for it with FOMO. Their stunning 3D visuals and state-of-the-art rave-like performances will blow your mind at this year's Medusa-themed event on June 7. It unites top-tier local and international DJs beaming out heaps of never-ending excitement.

Mr Gay World Thailand Competition

Same same but fresher and different from your Miss Universe affair, the Mr Gay World Thailand pageant is heavy on social activism and giving handsome gay men a platform to share their views and actions for change. The winning contestant will represent himself and Thailand on the global stage at Mr Gay World. Last year, Poosit Changkaewmanee won the title and was subsequently the second runner-up at Mr Gay World 2024 according to Bangkok Post. Keep your ear to the ground for confirmation of the event date sometime in June.

PRISM Festival

Prism Festival is one of the newest party circuit happenings in Asia. It is hosted at Emsphere (2025 dates yet to be confirmed). Similar to S20 Music Songkran minus the wild and wet element, it celebrates the LGBTQ+ community through banging vibes. Come to flex your best dance moves – nobody is going to judge you. It's a safe space for you and your crew to express yourselves and have the best night ever. 

XXO Party Bangkok

The annual XXO Party Bangkok at the Novotel Bangkok Sukhumvit takes place on October 3-5 this year, so you've plenty of time to rip that ideal summer body. This is yet another fire event that celebrates the electrifying diversity of the city’s nightlife. It creates a space in which self-expression reigns supreme, encouraging the LGBTQ+ community and allies to come together and revel in a welcoming environment.

Hero Awards

If you're vocal about equality and access to healthcare, the HERO Awards (2025 dates to be confirmed) is just for you. It's an annual fundraising gala and awards ceremony hosted by Bangkok non-profit organisation APCOM to support HIV initiatives and promote physical health rights. It does much to support and improve the lives of those affected by the disease.

Pride Cruise Bangkok

Pride Cruise Bangkok will float your boat literally because it's a five-hour river cruise party. Hosted by Bangkok Island, it's a thrill a minute with incredible DJs performances, gorgeous drag queens, karaoke, and an action-packed dance-off. The kind of bouncing booze cruise that will have you straining to bust out your best moves, it happens once every three months and confirmed dates are yet to be announced.

White Party New Year Festival

Simply put, the White Party New Year Festival is a rocking way to end the year. This is another of the major annual LGBTQ+ party circuit events. It's spread over multiple nights and features different themes – each with its own unique vibe, booming music, out-of-this-world multimedia and juicy male dancers. Specific dates are yet to be confirmed.
