Bangkokians are going to spend more time outdoors. The city’s new governor is moving forward with his promise to improve the quality of life in Bangkok.
First on his agenda is an outdoor cinema fair that will take place in the city’s public parks throughout the month of July. Called “12 Months, 12 Festivals”, the project is a collaboration between Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and is aimed at showcasing the city’s communal spaces while expressing support for the film industry.
The four-week fair will see the screening of over 20 Thai and international movies selected by the Film Archive Thailand, the Thai Film Director Association, and the group behind this outdoor event.
