BangkokEdge, a collaboration between River Books, Chakrabongse Villa and Museum Siam, will have its third run on 1 and 2 February at Museum Siam and Chakrabonse Villa. Going with the theme “Bangkok: A future for everyone,” the event will offer thought-provoking discussions on topics such as climate change, women’s rights, LGBTQ issues and sustainable tourism, as well as concerts by local musicians Hugo and Phum Viphurit.
Peter Frankopan, the famous author of the acclaimed historical tome New Silk Roads, will hold a talk on his book, while Thai pop culture expert Philip Cornwel-Smith will be launching the latest addition to his popular Very book series. The event will also give a rare glimpse of rooms in Chakrabongse Villa that are usually reserved for the hotel’s guests.
