จบไปเป็นที่เรียบร้อยแล้วกับการประกาศรางวัลจากเวที 2017 MTV Movies & TV Awards ความพิเศษของปีนี้ก็คือการมอบรางวัลให้กับซีรีส์ที่ฉายทางโทรทัศน์ รวมไปถึงบน Netflix (แต่เดิมเวทีนี้จะมอบรางวัลให้กับภาพยนตร์เท่านั้น) และยังเป็นงานประกาศรางวัลรายการแรกที่มอบรางวัลนักแสดงยอดเยี่ยม โดยไม่แบ่งเป็นเพศ ดารานำชายและดารานำหญิงอีกด้วย โดยนักแสดงที่ได้รับรางวัล Best Actor in Movie ในปีนี้ตกเป็นของ Emma Watson ในบทโฉมงาม จากเรื่อง Beauty and the Beast ส่วนรางวัล Best Actor in a Show ตกเป็นของ Millie Bobby Brown จากซีรีส์สุดฮิต Stranger Things
ไฮไลต์ในปีนี้ยังมีทั้งรางวัล MTV Generation Award ที่ตกเป็นของทีมนักแสดงจากหนังแฟรนไชส์ The Fast and The Furious รางวัล Best Kiss ของ Ashton Sanders และ Jharrel Jerome จากภาพยนตร์ดีกรีออสการ์ Moonlight และสปีชรับรางวัลของสาวเฮอร์ไมโอนี่เพื่อเป็นการขอบคุณที่เวทีประกาศรางวัลแห่งนี้แสดงให้เห็นถึงความเท่าเทียมของนักแสดงทั้งชายและหญิงอีกด้วย
