Prior to becoming a massive fresh market, Bon Marché was a golf course that lost money during the 1997 Asian financial crisis. Almost two decades later, this market near Don Mueang Airport has earned a reputation as a go-to shopping spot that attracts Bangkokians from all over the city. Fun fact: Bon Marché is one of the first in the city to offer a self-service canteen.
