The Shrimp is the farang-friendly name for Goong-Neung- Puu-Pen-Mahachai, a new restaurant that’s quickly becoming popular for its seafood dishes and big family-style portions. The restaurant’s slogan is “We bring Mahachai to your table” (Mahachai being the district in Samut Sakhon famed for its abundant seafood) so expect recipes loaded with prawn, crab, fish and other sea bounty. Suggested mains include naturally sweet and scrumptious steamed prawns (starts from B139) with seafood dipping sauce and shrimp paste, and spicy pad ka prao spaghetti with seafood (B120).
