Soon after returning home from London—and having taken in the city’s vibrant coffee culture—Parama Raiva, the young heiress of culinary empire S&P, made her bid to give the 43-year-old brand a modern touch with SNP Headquarter, the brand’s chic new flagship eatery.
Set on the ground floor of Italthai Tower (where the headquarters of the S&P group sits on the 23rd and 24th floors), this multi-functional space is a grand tribute to industrial-chic, Instagram-worthy décor. The spacious, black and white dining room is kitted out with bleached wood furniture, built-in shelves filled with rolls of colorful water bottles and floor-to-ceiling glass windows that allow plenty of natural light to filter through even on a cloudy day. In the middle is an espresso bar that handsomely churns out premium brews and tasty treats, while one corner has been transformed into dedicated cake studio.
The food takes a more sophisticated approach than your typical S&P eatery with a menu offering a wide selection of light bites and upscale comfort food. Trendy superfood quinoa makes its way into a grilled salmon salad that mixes shallots, chili, cucumber, watermelon and garlic (B280). For a more classic dish, try the fried rice with shrimp paste topped with crispy dried shrimp, sweet pork and shredded omelet. For more fusion leanings, go for the Mexican-inspired spring rolls (B160) with pork taco and cheddar cheese.
On top of classic espresso variations, the coffee bar also serves nitrogen cold brews (B150) that’s poured from the stylish-looking taps and coffee flights made from premium beans (B220). There’s also a fun selection of smoothies including Green (B120) which blends spinach, green apple, kiwi and ginger and is topped with chia and ginkgo seeds.
