Time Out says

Inspired by Thai and Japanese flavours, Shabu Baan Chant serves its very own version of hotpot shabu. The restaurant has recently relocated to Tao Poon but the feedback has been pleasing as both old and new customers come to enjoy their meal. With the goal to serve only the best, the owners have tasted and chosen each of their ingredients prudently from places around the city such as high-quality fish balls from China Town.

From the entrace, the smell of the soups boiling can tease your appetite. Thinly sliced beef and pork are best when dipped in their very own concoction of sesame sauce – which is recommended! Their shrimp dumplings are soft and fully filled and don’t forget to nibble on snacks like deep-fried tofu served alongside tamarin sauce. Finish the meal off with do-it-yourself desserts such as shaved-ice and the pleasing-scent pancakes.
