A frequent yoga practitioner may have heard of chakras or the energy centers within the body. According to spiritualists, the path to a healthy mind and body consists in opening and balancing the chakras in order to create a sustainable, harmonious flow of energy—and this can be achieved through meditation, yoga practice and eating the right food. New café, Seven, offers all these and more.
Seven provides a beach-bar vibe that would not look out of place in a hippie island like Koh Chang. The laidback, nature-friendly space features wooden furniture, a ceiling woven from dried plants and walls festooned with psychedelic, chalk-drawn doodles. Fresh banana leaves function as plate mats. The café also shares the building with a co-working space and a yoga studio that offers free weekly yoga sessions taught by the yoga-certified café-owner herself.
The menu proffers a great selection of café bites made with plenty of grains and greens. We love the hearty granola bowl (B165) which piles a banana and avocado smoothie with healthy toppings like sunflower seeds, chia seeds, gingko seeds and fruits. Also worth a try is a cake made with date, cacao, almond and cashew but butter. Quench your thirst with refreshing smoothies like Yogi’s Favorite (mango, passion fruit and mint, B130) and Asian Remedy (dragon fruit and coconut water, B95).
