One of the few Sri Lankan restaurants in the city is, oddly enough, owned by a Japanese. As strange as it sounds, it’s one reason to try the food here. Another reason: the food is amazing. Serendib offers a wide range of food from the classic BLT sandwich to Sri Lankan pork curry served with okra chutney and papadom. There’s also a long list of teas to pair with your meal such as Soursop and Nuwara Eliya Pekoe Ceylon. Reserve the royal milk tea for lazy afternoons and pair it with freshly baked scones slathered in clotted cream and raspberry jam.
