Fresh seafood is not uncommon in Bangkok, but we dare say there aren’t too many establishments (save for five-star hotels) that serve premium ocean catches in an elegant environment. Hence, why we welcome the opening of OYSTERMAN.
This new seafood and Champagne bar on Soi Sukhumvit 49 serves fresh oysters, meaty fish and plump crustaceans imported from all over the world to discerning patrons amidst classy minimalist, marbled interiors.
OYSTERMAN is led by Chef Feay Chalermkiat, whose CV includes years of experience overseas. He and his team prepare a wide range of offerings that would appease your craving for the fruits of the sea.
The seafood platter (B1,990++ for two/B3,890++ for four) comes highly recommended, and offers diners the chance to feast on freshly shucked oysters, seasonal mussels, langoustines and Cornish crab.
You can also order oysters by the piece or choose which mix goes into your plate. Six oyster variants are available (starts at B89 each), including Fine Ireland, Tsarskaya and Carlingford. Pair these fleshy, juicy delicacies with starters like mixed seafood soup (B260) or crab salad (B310).
Heavier courses are also available, such as fish and chips (B350), grilled octopus tentacles (B390) and lobster pie (B590).
When the alcohol ban is lifted, be ready to pair your scrumptious seafood dishes with a variety of Champagnes and fine wines.
