We’re not sure how long Maria has been open because we’ve been eating here since we can remember—and the waiters have always been the same over the years. Tucked in Ratchadamnoen and behind a discreet entrance that’s obscured by a row of lotto stalls, Maria has long been praised for its freshly cooked dim sum selections, including shrimp ha gao, pork dumplings and bao buns. Other highlights include the koi-si-mee (Chinese fried noodles in gravy), and the oh-so-tender stewed pork knuckles served with plain bao buns. Maria is only open for lunch.
