Ladprao-residing fans of Kloset Café won’t have to drive across town to Siam Paragon as the fashion café has (finally) opened a new branch at eastern Bangkok’s new eating haven, CentralFestival EastVille.
Though its interiors are reminiscent of a vintage European dining room, the menu is modern Thai fusion all the way, designed around founder Mollika Ruangkritya and her husband’s favorite fare. Comfort food abound, including khao kluk kapi (fried rice with shrimp paste), khao kaprao (basil rice), Caesar salad, and spaghetti carbonara, although more creative offers such as rice topped with foie gras teriyaki are also listed. What keeps us returning, however, is this relatively simple dish: rice topped with salty pork- and fishcakes and onsen egg.
One section has been converted into a mini-boutique where you can shop for aprons, plates, bowls, tablecloths and many more kitchen necessities.
