Talat Noi is shaping to be Bangkok's next best, busiest area with the emergence of cool cafés and galleries during these past few years.
Hong Sieng Kong is the latest establishment in the area that has just opened up for guests back on June 2, and it's already a hot spot you need to keep an eye on. This new café takes a spot on the riverside where a 150-year-old house used to be, and the owner has given reviving touches to create a Chinese-influenced venue for café-hoppers to come and enjoy drinking and eating next to a beautiful scene of the Chao Phraya River. Some of the original decorations aged about 20-50 years are put on display right inside the café.
You can take a train to MRT Hua Lamphong and walk a little bit to Soi Wanit 2. The café is located near Chowsuekong Shrine, and it opens from 10:00 to 18:00 (closed on Monday). Call 09 5998 9895 or visit its Facebook page for more information.
