Gokoku, the popular pastry powerhouse from Osaka, finally plants its first oversea outpost in Bangkok. The brand is known for the spongey Hokusetsu roll — the fluffy signature roll cake made from French-imported flour filled with cream whipped up from Hokkaido milk that is rich in flavor and boasts delicate texture. Pair it with fruit and the choice of vanilla or Earl Gray ice cream. Also not to miss is the star daifuku, a glutinous rice cake stuffed with fresh cream, chiffon and a choice of either melon, strawberry or chocolate.
