The Chinese New Year is just around the corner, and many of you are probably researching which fruits and sweet treats are associated with positive meanings and good luck, according to Chinese beliefs, to give or share with friends, family and colleagues. The good news is, Bangkok is not lacking in options when it comes to gifts for the Lunar New Year. And there seems to be more variety than ever, from creative reinterpretations of oranges to beautifully crafted nian gao rice cakes.

These are some of our favorites.
