The back garden of Latin-themed watering hole Revolucion Cocktail is given a family-friendly upgrade in the form of Blue Parrot.
While Revolucion’s vibe screams “adults only,” Sathorn’s brand-new tropical hideaway is geared toward all generations in the family, featuring a lush dining courtyard, swimming pool, petanque courts and kid’s corner. The child-friendly consciousness carries into the loo, where petite toilet bowls are specially designed for the little ones.
French chef Nicolas Valanchon keeps the family-focused theme and showcases comfort dishes such as pizza and tapas-style finger food. Heavier fare come in sharing portions, such as a zesty sea bass carpaccio that benefits from flavors of ripe and green mango (B230). Soup is cooled in an ice bucket and served with fancy-looking tartine—our favorite is the zucchini with a touch of basil (B180).
Mains see a selection of meaty options like lightly seasoned whole baby chicken served with chimichurri sauce (B540), and grilled king mackerel with tomato-loaded vierge sauce (B270).
Blue Parrot shares a cocktail list with Revolucion, although a couple of fruit- and juice-heavy specials have been created for Blue Parrot. There’s Spritz, which mixes Aperol with white wine and bits of pomegranate, strawberry and passionfruit (B220), while R&G combines rosé wine, grapefruit and some tonic water (B220).
