We bring you the best spots in the kingdom’s capital to indulge in the flavour sensation that is tom yum kung.

  • Bang Khae

Seafood lovers will delight in Heaw Seafood’s take on sour and spicy tom yum kung. The outlet on Phuthamonton Sai 2 offers the choice between a clear or condensed broth at price points that vary depending on the size of the prawns selected. In addition to the prawn soup, also worth a try is their signature spicy catfish roe soup (B450) and baked prawns with glass noodles (B300).

  • Thawi Watthana

A classic open-air restaurant on Phuthamonton that serves tom yum kung made with ingredients sourced from Mahachai Fresh Market. Starting at B330/100 grams, their version of the spicy soup quickly became a signature offering after the eatery opened in 2021. Patrons can adapt their order to taste by adding more prawns for a really meaty marine offering and additional condiments (extra fried garlic anyone?)
