Riverside shopping haven Iconsiam is now home to Bangkok’s first store of Kyoto-born, minimalist coffee specialist %Arabica.
Located on the 1st floor of the luxury shopping destination, Thailand’s first branch of %Arabica features state-of-the-art, white-washed interior similar to other stores worldwide. Designed by Tokyo-based no.10 of Nomurakougeisha (who is responsible for the look of several of the brand's other stores), the Bangkok’s cafe boasts clean and minimalist interior teeming with illuminating glass floor and white-washed furnishing. Taking the center stage is the roasting area equipped with Tornado King roasting machine. Floating bean cellar festoons the store’s exterior, making the space eye-catching and resemble a radiant spaceship from the outside.
Choose between the nutty %Arabica signature blend and the fruity single origin bean from Ethiopia in your espresso variation of choice such as latte (from B130), Americano (B140) and Spanish latte (from B150). Worth a try for non-coffee items is matcha latte (B150).
In September of 2014, %Arabica found its first home in Kyoto, Japan. Now, the minimalistic and extremely Instagram-ready coffee shop is finding its way across the globe. Founder Kenneth Shoji reflects his love for coffee through heavy investment in specialty coffee, from possessing a coffee farm in Hawaii to becoming the exporter of Japanese coffee roaster Tornado King. % Arabica-crafted brews are praised for high attention to detail thanks to the high-quality beans sourced from around the world.
