The khao mok (yellow rice cooked with turmeric and served with meat) is the real deal at Aheesah Roddee. The recipe for this dish can be traced back to the Muslim community that settled in Banglamphoo during the reign of King Rama V. The beef khao mok is the crowd-pleaser, and comes with tender braised beef and a spicy ox tail soup. The restaurant also sells Malay-influenced treats such as beef satay, as well as other street food favorites such as beef noodles and chicken khao mok.
