Apart from offering a collection of luxurious retailers within grandiose architectural details, riverside shopping hotspot ICONSIAM has proudly joined Bangkok’s competitive gastronomic race and is slowly proving that it’s also a strong contender when it comes to providing serious eats. Roughly boasting seven different food zones, ICONSIAM has brought together more than 100 iconic names from the local and international food scenes under one roof, ranging from award-winning institutions to charmingly humble food stalls.

Let’s take a quick look at the seven different areas that are making ICONSIAM one of Bangkok’s hottest food destinations right now.

SookSiam

A hub of food stalls selling tasty eats with reasonable price, aka a food court, is indispensable in any shopping destination. As the country's latest landmark, ICONSIAM aims to put the spotlight on Thailand's reputation as a food paradise and expands the horizon by constructing its food court into an expansive “floating market.” Featuring a manmade canal and surrounded by intricately decorated stalls and food vendors, SookSiam peddles local specialities from four different Thai regions, providing a variety of flavors and affordable price points that promise to impress both locals and visitors.

The Veranda

Greeting the visitors that enter the ICONLUXE complex from the ferry piers, The Veranda calls out to guests with 24 different eateries offering scrumptious eats amidst awe-striking interiors (i.e., an artificial waterfall and a vertical garden). Benefitting from bustling views of the Chao Phraya River, the restaurants and cafés in The Veranda offer one of the most the riverside’s most impressive dining experiences.

Siam Takashimaya Rose Dining

The presence of Japanese retail giant Takashimaya is one of the things that add to the excitement of a visit to ICONSIAM. Dubbed Siam Takashimaya, the department store has launched a high-end dining zone on the fourth floor called Rose Dining. Decked out in intricate Oriental-style details, Rose Dining is comprised of seven Japanese establishments and one café.

ICON Eats

One corner on the fourth floor of ICONLUXE is dedicated to some of the country’s best-known restaurants, albeit decorated a bit more luxuriously to keep up with the zone’s high-end theme. Fuel up on appetizing comfort food by Baan Khanitha, S&P, and Food Republic.

ICON Dining Rooms

The fifth-floor restaurants in ICONSIAM elevate the mall dining experience with expansive views of Chao Phraya River. An outdoor terrace is suitable for romantic rendezvous and family gatherings.

Alangkarn

This gigantic food zone on the sixth floor of ICONLUXE offers gastronomic specialties amidst a pastoral setting that features rice paddies, a waterfall and Thai pavilions. The zone offers a range of international fare, ranging from Thai to Japanese to Indian.

TassanaNakhon Terrace Bar

One of the most unique features of ICONSIAM is its prime location in the Thonburi side of the river, which affords views of the glitzy skyscrapers on the Bangkok side. The best spot to admire the scenery is at TassanaNakhon Terrace Bar, a semi-outdoor venue that’s home to famous restaurants, Hobs and Fallabella.

Seafood restaurant Jumbo Seafood is a dining must when visiting Singapore. Now ICONSIAM makes it easier for Bangkokians to indulge in tasty seafood by housing the giant restaurant chain. Jumbo is particularly proud of its chili crab, which combines the perfect blend of spicy and sweet flavors. (These crustaceans are worth getting your hands, not to mention your white shirt, dirty.) Other signature dishes include salted egg-crusted fried salmon skin and stir-fried prawn with cereals.

Popular Lat Phrao-situated seafood eatery Lobster and More is given an upgrade in ICONSIAM. Here, the simply decorated, rustic eatery is transformed into an eye-pleasing, white-washed restaurant called White Plate. The latter’s menu still retains the scrumptious seafood and grilled dishes of Lobster and More, but adds premium ingredients like foie gras and caviar to recipes. Big groups can go for the Grilled Surf and Turf, a hefty platter loaded with steak, sausage, prawn and cod fish.

Brix Dessert Bar

Crowd-favorite dessert shop Brix Dessert Bar is worth a visit—and perhaps a return—thanks to an array of sugary, mouthwatering treats. We particularly love Raspberry X Peach Miracle Pancake, which utilizes fresh ingredients from the Royal Project. Fans of sweet, tapioca-filled drinks can try one of Brix’s bubbles drinks like the indulgent Dark Chocolate Black Bubble.

This Kyoto-hailing tonkotsu specialist proudly serves perfectly cooked fried pork cutlets sheathed in flaky breadcrumbs. Katsukura’s secret lies in how they age their pork for more tender texture and a more intense flavor profile. Try the best-selling Katsukura Zen, surf ‘n turf-style bites that pair pork tenderloin with large prawn cutlets. Kyoto’s famed tofu makes an appearance as fried yuba (tofu skin) rolled around vegetable cutlets and served with pork tenderloin tonkotsu.

Nara

Bring out all the big guns and impress visitors and friends with a meal at Nara. The renowned Thai restaurant serves scrumptious versions of authentic local staples along with breathtaking sights of the Chao Phraya River and the Bangkok skyline. Signature items include the Nara Fried Rice served with meaty river prawns.
