centralwOrld has been a popular countdown spot in Bangkok for years, thanks to its convenient location right in the center of town, giant 3D screens that can display the festivities live, and space that’s large enough for a gathering of thousands of people at a time. Think of it as Asia’s version of New York’s Times Square.
And this year is no different. The massive lifestyle center is throwing a bigger-than-ever countdown party featuring a lineup of local superstars, from Bowkylion and Violette Wautier to PP Krit and Billkin Phuttipong. But that’s not all.
The party will end with an exciting performance by legendary K-pop star Rain, and a 15-minute-long 180-degree firework extravaganza and Ratchaprasong City-Scene Synchronization show. The countdown and fireworks display will be broadcast live on digital screens at the main intersections in Sathorn, Nana, Chidlom, and Asok.
Brace yourself and join the cheering crowds at centralwOrld, or you can stay home and watch the entire show on major TV channels and news media.
