November last year, Time Out Bangkok and the Tourism Authority of Thailand co-hosted the second edition of Awakening Bangkok lighting festival in the historic quarter of the Charoenkrung, during which more than 80,000 art-loving individuals flocked in to admire more than 30 lighting installations over the course of 10 days. Over 100,000 social media hits proved this pilot run a triumphant success.
This year, Time Out Bangkok and its partners are working on the final details to bring back the festival this December, from 11th to 20th, to reawaken the historic district once again. The organizing team is committed to putting together a number of health-concerned measures to organize a mass gathering event during these difficult times.
