Premium omakase joint Sushi Zo throws a special sake-pairing dinner featuring some of the most scrumptious seafood bites nicely paired with carefully-selected premium sake only from 29-30 March.

Hokkaido-born head chef Toshi Onishi will be rolling out a series of freshest nigiri and sushi that will be taking their turns to entice your palate, featuring starters like hotaru ika (pen shell clam) served with firefly squids; and braised awabi (abalone) served with its liver, delivering a flavor bomb in your mouth. Your omakase journey carries on with scrumptious nigiri bites such as the naturally-sweet botan ebi (sweet shrimp) sprinkled with yuzu juice and topped with its zest and pepper; the heavenly-mellowed akamatsu(sea perch) with slight acidity from yuzu juice and zest; and the creamy Murasaki uni(sea urchin) brushed with soy sauce.

To complement the experience, the sommelier has carefully chosen a selection of premium sakes to pair with the savory bites. The pairing kicks off the Junmai Daiginjo, which is deemed the best quality of all sake, to pair with the flavorful starters, followed by the drier, medium-bodied Junmai Ginjo to elevate white-fish nigiri. Foodies and sake connoisseurs will be pleased with the serving of 8 Junmai Ginjo, the unfiltered sake with rich and intense body.

The sake dinner (B7,000 for food/B3,900 for sake-pairing) will be happened only on 29-30 March, for two rounds (18:00 and 20:30). For more information and reservation, contact 08 1439 7676.
