Back in 2019, real estate developer Proud Group (owner of Blu Port and Vana Nava in Hua Hin) revealed a highly ambitious project to turn Kathu District into an integrated entertainment and resort destination that would include a hotel (Intercontinental Phuket Resort) and a Thai-themed water park called Andamanda Phuket.
The park marked its first day of opening on May 22, 2022—a 4.5 million baht investment that takes up 58 rai (approximately 92,800 square meters) and features 25 intriguing attractions designed by Canadian waterpark designer WhiteWater West.
Andamanda Phuket is currently on its soft opening and has revealed its first phase of operations. So far, we like what we see. Highlights include 12 different slides, a 10,000-square meter artificial sea that generates waves up to three meters high, a 300-meter long man-made beach, 53,000 square meters packed with children rides, and an array of food and drink establishments. The entire park features a “Thai Legend Meets Fantasy” concept that showcases Thai art and culture.
Aiming to become the biggest leisure destination in Thailand, Andamanda will unveil its second phase at a much later date. This next phase in development will focus more on accommodation and lifestyle leisure options.
Adult tickets for the park during its soft opening are priced at B850 online and at B1,500 onsite, whereas child and senior tickets are priced at B550 online and at B1,000 onsite. Children under 90 centimeters tall can enter the park for free.
Andamanda Phuket is open daily from 10:00 to 19:00. Visit its official Facebook page, call 0 7664 6777 or email info@andamandaphuket.com for more information.
