These are the artists and songs people in Thailand are obsessed with in 2022, according to Spotify

Every December, it’s become a tradition for Spotify users to flaunt their musical taste to the world with the audio streaming app’s Wrapped feature.

If you happen to be out of touch with digital media—or an Apple Music loyalist (oops)— Spotify Wrapped is a year-end feature that the Swedish streaming platform launches at the end of the year, and it basically gives a summary of the songs, albums, and artists, not to mention playlists and podcasts, you repeatedly listened to throughout the year. Spotify Wrapped then presents this in a vibrantly designed and personalized layout that you can share on your social media. 

The feature also allows you to find out which musical acts were huge in a certain area that year. In Thailand, we’re not surprised to see K-Pop phenomenon BTS leading Thailand’s Top Artists on Spotify this year. Proof, the band’s latest album, also peaked as number one on the Top Albums list. At number two is global pop sensation Taylor Swift, who recently dropped her 10th studio album, Midnights, while “Pink Venom” hitmaker, BLACKPINK, comes in at number three.

Two local bands, Tattoo Colour and Tilly Birds, made it to number four and five, respectively, on the same list.

The viral hit, “Sooloopaka Tapahey” by Thai indie singer THEMOONWILLALWAYSBEWITHME takes the highest place on the Top Songs category, followed by “Until Then” by Tilly Birds and “Pink Venom” by BLACKPINK.
