The coronation ceremony for HM King Rama X is set for May

The dates for the official coronation of His Majesty King Mahavajiralongkorn have been set. The Thai Bureau of Royal Household announced on New Year’s Day that Thailand’s supreme monarch will be crowned from the 4th to the 6th of May. The three-day ceremony will adhere to long-rooted royal traditions, and involve various elaborate events and customized artforms that most Thais—and people across the world—likely have never witnessed, considering this is the first coronation in the kingdom in seven decades
