Thailand’s number of new COVID-19 cases drop to double digit for two days in a row

Thai health officials reported 38 confirmed cases of COVID-19 today (7 April), the lowest number in three weeks, as well as one death.

The declining number follows 51 reported cases of yesterday. The total number of cases in Thailand has approached 2,258.

At a briefing today, Taweesilp Visanuyothin, spokesperson from the Centre of Covid-19 Situation Administration, praised the efficiency of nationwide night curfew and the people who comply with the measure.

The most recent death is a 54-year-old man with history of visiting an entertainment venue in Thonglor. He died from serve lung infection, leading to respiratory failure.
