Calling all hopeless romantics in Bangkok! Discover what it takes to find the other half of your heart at this new art exhibition at creative lifestyle destination Siam Center.
Half of My Heart is the latest collection by Sundae Kids, the popular Thai illustrator duo made up of Pratchaya “Poysian” Mahapauraya and Kavin Thienvutichaithe who are known for producing contemporary comics-style art inspired by the multifaceted aspects of love and relationships. Produced along with art organizer BOO, the pop-up show is aimed at promoting Thai creativity with a touch of heartwarming relatability.
Running until the end of May, Half of My Heart showcases art pieces that revolve around the notion of finding and “filling the other half to achieve completeness” regardless of one’s gender.
For the very first time, Sundae Kids is presenting their work in the form of 3D sculptures after years of building fame with graphic design projects and digital illustrations. “We always strive to give our all and make the most of [every] opportunity,” the duo says. “With the help of BOO, we were able to successfully transition from designing illustrations to creating sculptures. Additionally, we are thrilled to have the opportunity to showcase our work at Siam Center, which provided the space for the exhibition, and we are excited for everyone to be able to view our artwork from a 360-degree angle.”
Half of My Heart also includes a line-up of merch, from limited-edition T-shirts to coffee cups and even coffee beans.
Siam Center x BOO present Sundae Kids Half of My Heart runs until 31 May on the first floor of Siam Center - The Ideaopolis.
