Lalisa "Lisa" Manoban, the sole Thai member of global K-Pop sensation BLACKPINK, has debuted the soloist single inspired by her actual name alongside a killer music video featuring the singer's impressive rap verses and choreography and aesthetics that pay homage to her Thai roots.

After the four-piece girl group swept up the world with their first full-length THE ALBUM released last year, home label YG Entertainment has fulfilled the promise to continue promoting each member's solo effort, and it's now Lisa's turn to make waves with her talents and star power.

The Buriram-native star was signed by one of the K-Pop's big three entertainment giants and moved to South Korea in 2011 when she was 13 years old. She was then trained with the label as its first non-ethnically Korean trainee for five years and eventually selected to debut along with other three Korean trainees as BLACKPINK.

Following Jennie and Rosé who already shared their solo works, Lisa is the third to branch out the BLACKPINK empire with her own song. LALISA is the debut single album by the 24-year-old consisting the title track "LALISA" that showcases her well-known charisma and talents as the band's rapper and main dancer and b-side track "MONEY".

The title track is produced by YG's resident producer Teddy Park who's behind BLACKPINK's massive hits like "DDU-DU DDU-DU" and "How You Like That"—which is why Lisa's new tune sounds instantly recognizable to the Blinks (the band's fanbase name) with the aggressive hip-hop vibes, big beat drops, and an infectious hook.

Furthermore, the "LALISA" video also features many inspirations from Thai culture that encapsulate the K-Pop star's roots. Among numberless fierce looks she rocks out in the clip, there's one paying homage to Thai national costume designed by local upscale designers, namely the golden dress by ASAVA, the over-the-top 'Chada'-inspired headdress by HOOK's by Prapakas, and the peony-inspired intricate earpieces by SARRAN. There's also one scene that appropriates Phanom Rung Historical Park, one of the most popular tourist attractions in Lisa's hometown Buriram, which gives more nods to the rapper's background.
