South Korean BBQ brands have been parading into Bangkok non-stop. After Borngaa, Saemaeul and Sookdal stomped their way into the city’s culinary scene , it’s now time for Maple Tree House to make an entrance.
Founded in 2005 in Samchong-dong in Seoul, Maple Tree House became famous for how it presents traditional Korean cooking in a contemporary way. It went on to open four other restaurants—in Itaewon and Gangnam in Seoul, and a branch each in Manila and Taipei. The shop has welcomed its share of global celebrities, including Angelina Jolie, Katy Perry, and Guns N’ Roses.
Maple Tree House’s signature offerings include tender and juicy Jeju Korean black pork belly and grilled aged Korean beef seasoned with a house-made sauce. The original restaurant has a selection of lunch sets and wine, which we’re expecting at the Bangkok joint as well.
Maple Tree House Bangkok will land on the ground floor of Siam Paragon in the spot Chili Thai once occupied. It is slated to open on 24 November.
