While boyband-material teen idols are often criticized for using only their look to climb their way up to the top, Shawn Mendes proves he’s an exception. He belted out flawless vocal and delivered moving, emotional performance at his first show in Bangkok last night (11 December) at Impact Area.
The 19-year-old Canadian heartthrob kicked off the show in high energy with "There’s Nothing Holding Me Back" with powerful vocal and top-notch guitar skill, and continued the whole gig effortlessly with hits from his albums Handwritten and his sophomore set Illuminate like "Stitches", "Bad Reputation", "No Promises" and "Mercy", while stripping it down midway singing the ballad "Castle on the Hill" behind the piano. Mendes showed no sign of fatigue, retained the pitch-perfect skill with sheer perfection and kept the crowds cheering for him throughout the 90-minute show.
Here are some the highlights from last night show.
