Meet AI Police Cyborg 1.0 – the nation’s first AI-powered android officer, turning heads in Nakhon Pathom during this year’s splash-filled celebrations.

Songkran is known for its water fights and all-out fun, but with such excitement comes the challenge of keeping things safe and under control. Enter the AI Police Cyborg 1.0, an immobile high-tech helper that made its debut on Tonson Road in the heart of the action.

Developed by the Provincial Police Region 7 and local authorities, this Robocop-style is equipped with 360-degree AI cameras, facial recognition, and real-time video analytics to monitor the festivities. From spotting fights to flagging unusual behavior, it acts fast, alerting nearby officers to step in when needed.

The ‘cyborg’ taps into live CCTV footage and drone surveillance, feeding everything into the province’s Command and Control Center. When something’s off, it alerts officers nearby – making it not just a party guest, but a serious line of defence. However, some humans may find its presence a little unsettling.
