River City Bangkok's RCB Film Club has finally returned for all cinephiles out there. To celebrate its comeback, the theater picked Hutsulka Ksenya (aka The Legend of Hutsulka Ksenya) to be the first film to screen on Saturday, 29 August, at 16:00.
The Legend of Hutsulka Ksenya is a feature film from Ukraine that blends the genres of comedy, romance, musical, history, folklore, and allegory to portray an awe-inspiring story of the legendary female spirit Ksenya—a historical figure in the Hutsul community in the Carpathian Mountains.
Hutsulka Ksenya also features music from popular Ukrainian band Dakh Daughters that contributes a brilliant musical variety to the film.
The film also spawned widespread acclaim from film festivals over 20 countries around the world and spawned the Grand Pix at the Atami International Film Festival in Japan.
The premiere will be introduced by Ukraine Ambassador H.E. Mr. Andrii Beshta alongside the Embassy of Ukraine that will be supporting the Opening Film of RCB Film Club's 2020 Movie Series.
A ticket is B100 (which can be booked here), and the seats are limited due to the preventive measures for COVID-19.
