Laguna Phuket, the major organizer of Phuket's upcoming massive entertainment festival Revive 555, has announced the cancelation of the festival, following the case of one unnamed performer in the recent show being tested with COVID-19 positive.

The resort quarter has issued an announcement today (April 6) to impart its "difficult decision" to push back the festival. "In response to the news that a band member from a recent performance has returned with a positive test for COVID-19, Laguna Phuket made the difficult decision to postpone all Revive 555 Festival events with immediate effect," wrote the organizer. This disheartening determination is carried on in order to comply to "all public health measures and government regulations.

The date when the festival looks to make a comeback has not been revealed, and this means that all other highlight happenings in Phuket this month like Phuket Pride and Phuket's very first Surf Skate event won't be able to take off until further notice.
